Titanic: Honor & Glory - Hydraulic Accumulators

This project features historically accurate Hydraulic Accumulators created for Titanic: Honor and Glory. These monumental industrial machines were located in Belfast Harbour, where RMS Titanic was constructed, and were essential in powering the hydraulic systems used for heavy shipbuilding operations, including cranes and lifting equipment.

Designed as a mid-to-low poly, game-ready asset, the model emphasizes precise mechanical construction, structural weight, and period-authentic engineering. Particular focus was placed on riveted steel assemblies, cylindrical massing, functional components, and scale accuracy to faithfully represent early 20th-century industrial machinery.

The asset was built with optimized topology and UV layouts tailored for repetitive tileable PBR textures. Instead of relying on unique baked maps, surface breakup and material definition were driven through geometry and efficient UV planning. This workflow supports flexible material iteration, reduced memory cost, and high performance in Unreal Engine, making the asset suitable for both real-time gameplay and cinematic presentation.
